Knife-Wielding Beverage Thief at Large in Queens

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance to identify a man involved in a robbery on Thursday, May 11. At approximately 4:15 pm, within the 105th Precinct, the individual stole a beverage from a store at 218-60 Hempstead Avenue.

When a 19-year-old male employee tried to recover the item, the thief brandished a knife and fled southbound on Springfield Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

The individual is described as having a dark complexion, wearing blue jeans, a dark long sleeve shirt and hat. The NYPD urges anyone with information to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline.
