Seaside Heights, NJ – The Memorial Day weekend got off to a dramatic start as two individuals were rescued from the waters of Seaside Heights on Friday afternoon after being caught in strong rip currents. The Seaside Heights Beach Patrol promptly responded to the incidents, ensuring the safety of those involved.

According to a Facebook post made by the Seaside Heights Beach Patrol and lifeguard captain Robert Connor around 5:30 p.m., both rescues took place in the afternoon.
Fortunately, the presence of lifeguards performing maintenance duties proved crucial in promptly attending to the victims.
“Two rescues have already occurred today,” wrote Captain Robert Connor, emphasizing the swift response of the lifeguards. The incidents serve as a reminder of the potential dangers of rip currents, especially during times of increased beach activity.
