Homicide Investigation Underway in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A man was found dead near Truist Field in the early hours of Saturday morning. Officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrived at the 500 block of West Third Street around 1:30 am following an assault report.

Officers reported that they found a man who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
