Memorial Day Weekend Shootings Leave Two Dead in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Memorial Day Weekend in Philadelphia started with two separate double shootings resulting in two deaths and two critical injuries.

The first shooting took place on the 300 block of Cambria Street just after 3 am on Saturday. A 26-year-old man died from multiple gunshot wounds at a local hospital, while a 22-year-old man remains in critical condition.

In another incident a few hours later, two women were shot on the 100 block of East Allegheny Avenue. A 44-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries while a 21-year-old woman is in critical condition.

Both shootings are currently under investigation, with no arrests made or weapons recovered.
