Police investigating assault inside Astoria subway station

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A 46-year-old male was assaulted on the southbound “N” train platform in the Astoria Boulevard subway station within the 114 Precinct/Transit District 20 on Saturday, May 20, 2023. After a dispute, an unknown male struck the victim with a cellphone before fleeing the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of a head laceration.

NYPD is seeking help in identifying the individual responsible. Anyone with information is urged to reach out to NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline.
