18-year-old shot and killed in Suitland

SUITLAND, MD – An investigation is underway following the death of Kaden Askew, an 18-year-old resident of Suitland. Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is currently seeking to identify the suspect(s) involved in the fatal shooting that occurred on Sunday night.

At around 9:55 pm, officers from the Maryland-National Capital Park Police arrived at the 6100 block of Summerhill Road in response to a reported shooting. Askew was found outdoors with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

With detectives working on identifying potential suspects and establishing a motive, a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
