26-Year-Old Man Shot And Killed in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 26-year-old man dead Sunday afternoon in Southeast D.C.

After receiving an alert for a shooting, officers arrived at the Unit block of Mississippi Avenue just after 4:30 pm. Police discovered 26-year-old David Daniel Quarles of Southeast, D.C., suffering from gunshot wounds. Quarles was pronounced dead at the scene.
