suspect charged for shooting that killed woman last week in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – Police in Baltimore have made an arrest in a homicide investigation involving a woman who was shot and killed last week.

Detectives have arrested a 21-year-old male suspect, identified as Desron Barber.

According to the investigation, it was determined that Barber shot 31-year-old Biancha Johnson during a physical altercation involving Johnson and a group of individuals. The incident occurred in the 3200 block of Shannon Drive.

Once there, officers located a 31-year-old female suffering from trauma to the body.

The victim was pronounced deceased by doctors.

Immediately following the altercation, Desron Barber was apprehended at the scene by law enforcement officers.

On May 25, formal charges were filed against Barber for 1st degree murder in relation to the shooting death of Biancha Johnson. The legal process will now proceed accordingly as the case advances.
