Teenager Dies in Domestic-Related Shooting in Upper Marlboro

UPPER MARLBORO, MD – A 16-year-old resident of Upper Marlboro, Kamryn Janifer, lost her life in a domestic-related shooting under investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit.

The incident took place on Sunday, at around 9:10 pm. Police arrived at the 12500 block of Woodstock Drive East following reports of a shooting. Once on the scene, officers found Janifer and two adults with gunshot wounds. Despite being taken to the hospital, Kamryn was pronounced dead a short time later.

According to the Homicide Unit, all parties involved in the shooting are relatives residing in the same home. They assure there’s no imminent danger to the local community.
