Man Admitted to Hospital with Gunshot Wound in Dayton

DAYTON, OH – In the early hours of Monday morning, Dayton Police were alerted to a gunshot incident when a man arrived at Miami Valley Hospital with a gunshot wound to his back.

At approximately 4:38 am, hospital personnel reported the injury to law enforcement, following protocol for patients with gunshot wounds.

Officers were initially dispatched to the vicinity of North Main Street and East Siebenthaler Avenue, based on information received from other agents. The condition of the victim remains undisclosed. The Dayton Police Department is leading the investigation into the shooting.
