SALISBURY, MD – Deric James Rust, a 24-year-old man, was arrested by the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, in Salisbury for a sex offense.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in an undisclosed location, where they discovered Rust with a 13-year-old juvenile. Rust was arrested for sex offense related charges and was transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center.
Originally held without bond, Rust was released on his own recognizance on Thursday.
Police did not reveal any further details on the matter.
