Prince George’s County Police Arrest Carjacking Suspects

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Carjacking Interdiction Unit (CIU) has charged five suspects, including two juveniles, in connection with four carjacking cases. Charges include armed carjacking and related offences.

On Monday, May 1, 2023, 33-year-old Tony Budd of Hyattsville was charged with carjacking. He was apprehended after carjacking a car at a cemetery on Bladensburg Road in Brentwood.

18-year-old Jaheim Chase and 18-year-old Adrian Price, both from Washington, DC, were charged with motor vehicle theft, unauthorized use of a vehicle and related charges.

The Carjacking Interdiction Unit has, so far in 2023, charged 84 suspects in connection with carjacking cases. Of these, 51 are juveniles and 33 are adults. The number of juveniles arrested for auto theft this year is more than double the total in 2022.
