Juvenile Arrested after Pointing Laser at Atlantic City Home

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – A juvenile was recently arrested and a weapon recovered after a laser beam was pointed at a residence. The Atlantic City Police Department reported the incident happened on Tuesday, around 11:31 PM in the 600 block of Kentucky Avenue.

Officer John Bell noticed a group of individuals pointing a laser at a residence, an action which triggered investigation due to the potential use of firearm laser sights.

As Officer Bell approached the group, a 15-year old male from Pleasantville fled the scene, dropping a loaded handgun equipped with a laser sight. The juvenile was subsequently arrested by Officer Cuong Sam in the 400 block of Haddon Avenue.

The charges include unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a high capacity magazine, obstruction of justice, and resisting arrest. The accused was transferred to the Morris County Juvenile Detention Center.
