Woman sought in possible child luring incident

NEW FREEDOM, PA – Police are seeking to identify a woman who is suspected in a possible child luring attempt in New Freedom.

On Tuesday, around 6:25 PM, a child reported an unsettling encounter with an unknown woman. The woman, described as a white female aged between 20-30, with her hair pulled up and driving a dark-colored pickup truck, was said to have approached the child in a threatening manner near the intersection of Heritage CT and E. Franklin St.

The child retreated into a nearby house and secured the door. The woman was last seen departing in the pickup truck. The direction of her departure remains unknown. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call 911 in York County or, for those outside of York County, to call 717-854-5571.
