HARRISBURG, PA – Attorney General Michelle Henry recently announced that Tico Octavious Franklin, 40, was sentenced to serve up to 60 years in prison for the murder of his former girlfriend’s father. Franklin pleaded guilty in March to third-degree murder, robbery of a motor vehicle, and three counts of reckless endangerment.

The victim, Brian Hunter, 64, had responded to a domestic dispute at his daughter’s home on Saturday, April 24, 2021.

Upon asking Franklin to leave, Franklin responded by shooting Hunter multiple times. Hunter’s two grandchildren were present during the incident. Franklin was arrested days later in Baltimore.
