Brooklyn Man Arrested for Robbery

NEW YORK CITY, NY – Jose Cadiz, a 50-year-old resident of Brooklyn, was apprehended by the 90th Precinct on Tuesday, May 23, at 7:54 pm, and faces robbery charges.

The New York City Police Department previously requested public assistance in relation to a robbery involving a 73-year-old man on Sunday, May 14, in the vicinity of Hooper Street and S. Fifth Street. The elderly man was reportedly accosted, put in a chokehold, thrown to the ground, and punched in the head. The assailant pilfered his wallet containing a debit card and $60 before fleeing.
