Former Ramapo Podiatrist, Sister Indicted on Multiple Counts

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – A Rockland County Grand Jury has recently indicted Ira Bernstein, 49, of Montebello, and Jaclyn Goldberg, 40, of Bedford, following an investigation by the Town of Ramapo Police Department with the assistance of the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office.

The investigation alleges that between July 29, 2022, and September 21, 2022, Bernstein solicited the murder of his wife, Susan Bernstein, and conspired with his sister, Goldberg, to destroy evidence.

Bernstein faces charges of Criminal Solicitation in the Second and Fourth Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Conspiracy in the Fifth Degree. Goldberg is charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Hindering the Prosecution in the Third Degree, and Conspiracy in the Fifth Degree.
