Suspect Arrested In Brooklyn Food Truck Child Abduction Investigation

Brooklyn, NY – Police in Brooklyn have arrested a man in Brooklyn wanted for an attempted abduction of a -year-old girl near a food truck in Brooklyn on Sunday.

Felipe Rodriguez, 28, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Sunday, June and has been charged in connectionto the incident. Rodriguez was charged with kidnapping.

According to police, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a 36-year-old woman and her 7-year-old daughter were waiting at a food truck located in front of 8 Wyckoff Avenue.

During this time, an unidentified individual suddenly approached and made an attempt to physically grab the child. However, the mother bravely intervened, engaging in a brief struggle to protect her daughter. The mother managed to break the individual’s grip on her child, causing them to flee the scene on foot. The suspect was last seen heading northbound on Wyckoff Avenue towards Flushing Avenue.

The 7-year-old girl did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
