Police join forces with Special Olympics at Rock Creek Park

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – Rock Creek Regional Park witnessed a heartwarming event today as award-winning Special Olympics athletes, police officers, and community members united for the 2023 Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics Maryland.

The event saw a diverse range of participants, including walkers, runners, bicyclists, and even some adorable puppies, as they hit the trails to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Maryland athletes.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run has become a cherished tradition, bringing together individuals from various backgrounds to champion the cause of Special Olympics Maryland.

Athletes who have achieved remarkable success in Special Olympics competitions joined forces with local law enforcement officers and community members to make a positive impact.
