Elderly Man Robbed at Home in Broad Daylight in West Harlem

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking to the public for help in identifying a suspect connected to a robbery in the 25 Precinct. The incident took place on Monday, around 1:00 pm.

A 75-year old male victim was at his home near 135th Street and 5th Avenue when an unknown man approached his door. The suspect pushed the victim, entered the residence unlawfully, and demanded money.

The suspect took a cellphone and a wallet from the premises and proceeded to assault the victim twice in the face before fleeing on foot.

The victim did not need medical treatment.

The suspect is described as a male, with a dark complexion, about 5’8” tall, around 30 years old, weighing approximately 165 pounds, with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, red footwear, glasses, and a cap.

The Police Department’s 25 Precinct is conducting an ongoing investigation. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact them.
