Teen missing since April in Staten Island, police asking public for help

Staten Island, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking the public for assistance locating a missing teen from Staten Island.

Akiel Johnson, a 17-year-old male, was last seen leaving his residence on Sunday, April 30, at approximately 12:00 p.m. A photograph of Akiel has been attached for reference.

He is 5’10” tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. Akiel has black hair. He was last seen wearing black boots, dark blue sweatpants, and a gray jacket with red lines on the arms. Akiel resides at 33 York Avenue, Staten Island, NY.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Akiel’s whereabouts to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
