Armed Robbery of Delivery Truck in New Castle Under Investigation

NEW CASTLE, DE – The Delaware State Police are conducting an investigation into an armed robbery that occurred at a Wawa in the New Castle area last Tuesday evening.

The robbery occurred at 11:16 p.m., when two unidentified suspects confronted a 27-year-old delivery driver and a 23-year-old assistant at 7 East Commons Boulevard.

Both victims were unharmed, but the suspects fled the scene with an unspecified quantity of cigarette cartons. The suspects, both male, were wearing dark clothing and masks at the time of the robbery.

The suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan. The Delaware State Police are requesting anyone with information related to this robbery to come forward.
