Paterson Man Charged with May Murder

PATERSON, NJ – Erlyn Nunez, 21, from Paterson, was charged on Monday, in connection with a homicide that occurred on Sunday, May 21, 2023, in the area of River Street and East 13th Street.

Paterson Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office investigated the case.

On the day of the incident, officers responded to a shooting report at approximately 2:25 a.m., where they found a 22-year-old male victim. Nunez, currently in custody at the Bergen County Jail, is the suspected shooter. A pre-trial detention hearing will be scheduled at a later date.
