HARRISBURG, PA – A Philadelphia County Court has recently sentenced 23-year-old Gregory Smith to 26 to 52 years in state correctional facility. Smith was convicted earlier this year for the 2021 murder of 21-year-old Dominic Billa at the Philadelphia Mills Mall and the attempted murder of another man.

In addition to the prison sentence, Judge Barbara A. McDermott ordered Smith to pay $15,000 in restitution to Billa’s family.

Trial testimony revealed that Smith shot and killed Billa during a fight at the mall’s food court on March 29, 2021. He then shot at another man who tried to assist Billa. At the time of the incident, Smith was on bail for multiple offenses across several counties.
