Philadelphia police investigating armed robbery

PHILADELPHIA, PA – On Saturday, June 3, 2023, an unidentified individual is reported to have committed a commercial robbery at gunpoint at the Rite Aid located at 5612 N. 5th St.

At approximately 4:10pm, the suspect approached a cashier, brandished a firearm, and demanded the cash register’s contents.

The suspect is described as a black male of medium build, with a beard and mustache. He was seen wearing a black Nike hoodie, blue Adidas sweatpants, and red and black Nike sneakers. Following the robbery, the suspect fled on foot and was last seen heading east on Olney from 5th St.

The PPD Northwest Detective Division is actively seeking assistance in identifying the individual responsible for this crime.
