WESTAMPTON, NJ – In a joint statement, Burlington County Prosecutor Lachia L. Bradshaw and Westampton Township Police Chief Stephen Ent, reported that a 59-year-old bus driver from Florida was taken into custody after trying to arrange a sexual encounter with an alleged underage girl.

Gregory P. Tibbetts from Ocoee, Florida, was charged with Luring, Attempted Sexual Assault, Impairing the Morals of a Minor, and Attempted Criminal Sexual Contact. Believing he was in contact with a 14-year-old girl, Tibbetts was, in fact, communicating with undercover detectives.

The bus driver was arrested last Wednesday at a local hotel, and later transferred to the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly. Tibbetts will appear for a detention hearing in Superior Court while the case prepares for presentation to a grand jury.
