Man Shot In The Head Dead In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man was shot and killed early this morning in Southeast D.C. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting.

Just after 2:30 am, police arrived at the 3000 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue to investigate a report of a shooting. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
