Caught On Surveillance: D.C. Police Search For Armed Carjackers

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating suspects involved in an Armed Carjacking incident that occurred on Sunday morning in Northwest D.C.

Just before 11:30 am, the victims, seated inside their vehicle at the 1200 Block of Vermont Avenue, were approached by the suspects. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and ordered the victims to exit the vehicle. The victims got out of the car, and the suspects assaulted them before escaping in their own vehicle. The authorities have since recovered the vehicle.

A surveillance camera captured two of the suspects. If you have any information about this incident, please take no action but call the police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. This case remains under investigation.
