Woman stabbed to death inside Brooklyn residence

Brooklyn, NY – A suspect has been taken into custody in connection to the stabbing death of a woman in Brooklyn early Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, at approximately 1:26 a.m., authorities received a distressing 911 call reporting a female victim who had been stabbed at 2877 West 20 Street in Brooklyn.

Upon arrival at the location, law enforcement officers discovered a 44-year-old female victim in the first-floor hallway. The victim had sustained multiple stab wounds to her neck and torso.

The victim was transported to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn for emergency treatment. She was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Authorities have apprehended a 50-year-old male suspect at the same location. Police took him into custody without incident. Additionally, a knife, believed to be the weapon used in the attack, has been recovered as evidence.

The victim’s identity was not released.
