High heels assault leads police on search for attacker

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department seeks public aid in identifying an individual involved in an assault incident in Greenwich Villate.

The incident occurred on Sunday, around 2:30 AM at the corner of University Place and East 13 Street.

A 43-year-old female victim reported engaging in conversation with an unidentified individual.

This individual then removed her heels and struck the victim multiple times in her back with at least one of the shoes. The assailant then fled the scene heading east on East 13 Street. The victim sustained bruising and a laceration but did not seek medical attention.

The suspected assailant is a female of light complexion, approximately 5’5” tall, last seen wearing a pink top, blue jeans and black heels.
