Man wanted for assault on Queens subway train

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A verbal altercation led to violence aboard a Queens subway train on Sunday.

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual involved in an assault incident. The incident occurred on Sunday, at around 12:40 pm in Queens.

A 27-year-old male became involved in a verbal disagreement with an unidentified individual while on a moving southbound ‘7’ train.

The disagreement escalated, resulting in the unidentified individual physically assaulting the victim. The assailant fled the scene at the 90 Street – Elmhurst Avenue station. The victim sustained a facial injury, specifically a laceration and swelling. Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he is in stable condition.
