K-9 cop recognized for recent drug bust


On Wednesday, K-9 Kell and her partner, New York State Trooper Giga, successfully contributed to removing dangerous drugs from the streets. K-9 Kell’s exceptional detection skills led to the discovery of illegal narcotics during two separate traffic stops in the Hudson Valley.

Thanks to K-9 Kell’s keen senses, troopers were able to locate a significant amount of illicit substances. The seizures included 195 grams of crack-cocaine, 31 grams of powder cocaine, 25.5 grams of heroin, 13 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, 9.5 grams of fentanyl, and two grams of MDMA.

This joint effort by K-9 Kell and Trooper Giga has made a substantial impact in combatting the presence of dangerous drugs within our community.

Their dedication and professionalism are commendable, and their actions have undoubtedly contributed to the safety and well-being of our area.
