PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – A 44-year-old man, Marcus Braxton Sr., is facing murder charges for the fatal stabbing of his son. On Saturday, around 8:30 AM, police officers discovered 22-year-old Melodias Scindian suffering from stab wounds at a residence in Suitland. Scindian succumbed to his injuries at a hospital shortly afterward. The initial investigation suggests that Braxton stabbed his son during a dispute, then fled the scene. He was taken into custody about four hours later.

Now Braxton, a resident of Washington, DC, faces charges of first and second-degree murder. The Department of Corrections currently holds him. Detectives at the Prince George’s County Police Department are encouraging anyone with information relevant to this investigation to call them at 301-516-2512.
