Woman injured after being dragged by car in Dunkirk robbery

DUNKIRK, MD – A robbery occurred on Tuesday at around 4:30 pm at the intersection of Solomons Island Road and Jewell Road in Dunkirk. According to the Southern District Police, an adult female was attacked by a suspect when she was inside her vehicle.

Both suspects reportedly arrived in a black Acura sedan and initiated a conversation.

During the conversation, one of the suspects took the victim’s necklace. In her attempt to recover the necklace, the victim was dragged by the suspects’ car before being thrown off. Southern District detectives have started their investigation and are asking for anyone with information to contact them at (410) 222-1960 or the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line at (410) 222-4700.

The suspects have been described as two black males in their early 20s, one with a thin build and short dreads, and the other being described as ‘pudgy’.
