Police investigating assault inside 42nd Street subway station

NEW YORK, NY – A 43-year-old man was assaulted inside the 42nd Street subway station this week and now the New York City Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect.

Police are seeking to identify the individual linked to an assault incident that occurred on Wednesday, around 05:50 am.

The 43-year-old male victim was in a verbal dispute with an unidentified individual at the mezzanine of the 42 Street-Grand Central subway station when the latter physically attacked him before escaping on a Queens-bound 7 train. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi.

The suspect is described as a heavily built male, about 6′ tall, aged between 30 to 40, with black hair tied in a bun. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black jeans, and black boots.
