NYPD releases photo of subway purse snatcher

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying an individual wanted in connection with a grand larceny incident. The incident took place on Saturday, June 10, at approximately 3:00 am, aboard the northbound “J” train at the Broadway and Myrtle Avenue subway station.

The 23-year-old male victim was sleeping when an unidentified male individual snatched the victim’s bag and attempted to purchase a MetroCard with the victim’s Chase credit card at the Myrtle Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue subway station.

The individual is described as a male with a medium complexion, approximately 20 to 25 years of age, thin build, last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, gray sweatpants, white sneakers, a black hat, and a black book bag.
