Four women shot in NYC in one hour span on Monday

NEW YORK, N.Y. — In less than an hour of separate incidents, multiple women were shot in different locations around New York City on Monday.

A 24-year-old woman was shot in the Bronx and subsequently transported to Jacobi Medical Center. She is expected to survive. According to law enforcement, the woman was not the intended target. The suspect was last seen fleeing the scene on an electric scooter.

Furthermore, three more women were shot around 9 p.m. at Riverbank State Park in upper Manhattan. The victims, aged 33, 20, and 28, sustained injuries to the ankle and leg and are currently being treated at Mt. Sinai Morningside Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to any of the shootings.
