Police investigating multiple robberies in Midtown

NEW YORK, NY – A string of robberies occurring across different precincts in the city is under ongoing investigation. Various precincts including the 5th, Midtown South, 17th, Midtown North, and the 84th Precinct, have reported incidents conforming to this pattern.

The robberies commenced on Monday, June 5, around 12:01 PM, with a 24-year-old male falling victim outside 322 West 57 Street in the Midtown North Precinct. The suspect, wielding an unknown sharp object, demanded the victim’s property and fled after forcibly taking his cellphone.

The victim sustained lacerations to his right hand and torso and was subsequently transported to Mount Sinai West in stable condition.

Further incidents reported in this pattern include robberies on Friday, June 9, Tuesday, June 13, and last Monday. All incidents involve a single unknown individual accosting victims, brandishing an unknown sharp object, and fleeing after forcibly obtaining victims’ property.
