Homicide Investigation Launched in Albemarle County

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA – The Albemarle County Police Department reported a homicide on Tuesday. Officers were called to the vicinity of Rio Hills Drive at about 4:30 p.m. following reports of gunshots.

The ACPD believes the victim was shot by an acquaintance.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the suspect remains at large. Preliminary investigations suggest a domestic motive.
