Paterson Fireman Arrested after stealing victim’s bag from Gurney

PATERSON, NJ – On Tuesday, Antonio Moore, 39, of Newark, New Jersey, was recently arrested by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Public Integrity Unit in Totowa.

Moore, an employee of the Paterson Fire Department, was charged with one count of third-degree Theft.

The theft took place on August 21, 2022, when a gold chain and arrest warrant paperwork, placed into a property bag, went missing. Surveillance footage identified the man removing the bag from an unattended gurney as Moore.

Further information is withheld to ensure the safety of those involved and the ongoing investigation. Moore is set for Central Judicial Processing on July 5, 2023.
