Residential Burglary Under Investigation in Silver Spring

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section is currently investigating a residential burglary that occurred on Thursday, on the 3000 block of Calverton Boulevard, Silver Spring.

The burglary occurred at approximately 12:52 pm, with the suspect forcibly entering the residence by kicking in the front door. Once inside, the suspect proceeded to put on a mask and sunglasses and search the house, stealing personal property from various rooms before leaving the premises.

Surveillance footage has helped in providing a description of the suspect, who is identified as a Black male with short black hair. He was seen wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt with a red circular graphic on the chest, blue jeans, and white sneakers and carrying a black backpack. Detectives are requesting public assistance in identifying the suspect.
