Two Men Arrested in Bridgewater for Financial Fraud

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – On Wednesday, June 14, Sanders J. Mishkin and Ronald Cusano, both 65 and from Lambertville, New Jersey, were arrested by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Unit. The charges pertain to theft by deception involving funds from a resident of an assisted living facility in Bridgewater.

The investigation was prompted by a criminal referral to the Special Investigations Unit regarding suspicious bank account activity. The probe determined that Mishkin had unauthorizedly withdrawn over $80,000 from a resident’s account for personal gain, with Cusano implicated in transactions amounting to at least $10,000 of the stolen funds.

Charged with second-degree Theft by Deception and Attempted Theft by Deception, Mishkin was released pending a court date. Cusano, charged with third-degree Theft by Deception, awaits his court hearing.
