Clairton Fight Leads to Charges

Clairton, PA – Early Sunday morning, at around 5:45 a.m., the Clairton Police Department responded to a report of a fight in the 800 block of Vankirk Avenue. Police were informed of the incident and dispatched officers to the scene. One adult male involved in the altercation was subsequently transported via ambulance to a local hospital. The current condition of the injured individual remains unknown.

The Clairton Police reached out to the General Investigations Unit of the Allegheny County Police Department for assistance. Detectives from both the ACPD General Investigations Unit and the ACPD Homicide Unit promptly initiated a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

Following an investigation with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office, charges have been filed against two individuals involved in the incident. Marvin Cabbagestalk, a 51-year-old resident of Clairton, faces charges of harassment and being a person prohibited from possessing firearms. Cabbagestalk, who sustained injuries during the altercation, is currently recuperating in a local hospital.

Additionally, Deon Ellison, a 33-year-old resident of Clairton, has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person. Following his arrest, Ellison was transported to the Allegheny County Jail, where he awaits arraignment.
