Drug store security guard slashed during robbery

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance to locate an individual in relation to a robbery that occurred on Monday, at approximately 11:27 pm. An unidentified male is said to have entered a CVS at 305 East 86 Street, and removed items from the store display, stowing them in a brown backpack.

When confronted by store security and the store manager, the man brandished a knife, slashing a 62-year-old security guard on the left side of his face. The victim was transported to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition. The stolen goods are estimated to be worth around $383.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, believed to be between 30 and 40 years of age, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve sweater, dark gray pants, black sneakers, a multi-color Du-rag, a blue face mask, and was carrying a brown book bag.
