Man wanted for assaulting woman on subway train

NEW YORK CITY, NY – An incident unfolded on a northbound ‘D’ train on Tuesday, June 6. As reported by the New York City Police Department, an unidentified man made sexually explicit comments to a 44-year-old female passenger. The man was allegedly seated near the victim around 1855 hours when he began to make inappropriate gestures.

When the woman tried to capture the incident on her phone, the man struck her in the face. He managed to escape from the train before it reached Grand Concourse and 167 Street station. The woman did not require medical attention post-incident. The NYPD is seeking public assistance to identify and locate the individual.
