One person shot overnight in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY, NY – The Schenectady Police Department reported a shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday. Officers were dispatched around 9:09 p.m. following reports of shots fired in the area of Mason Street and Avenue B.

While officers were investigating the scene, they received a report of a male victim who was brought to Ellis Hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot. The injury is considered non-life-threatening.

Currently, the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and there are no suspects in custody. The Schenectady Police Department is requesting anyone with information to call their Tips Line at 518-788-6566.
