Police investigating Bridgeton purse snatching incident

BRIDGETON, NJ – The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man who allegedly stole a purse from an unattended shopping cart at a local Walmart. The incident took place on Friday, May 19, at about 7:10 AM.

Surveillance video shows the suspect taking a purse containing a wallet with $300 cash, credit cards, medication, checkbooks, and house keys.

The man, described as a Black male, was seen wearing a blue t-shirt with white lettering and black pants. Any information leading to his identification is welcomed and can be reported to Troop “A” Bridgeton Station at 856-451-0101.
