Police Seek Assistance in Locating Woman for Questioning in Connection with Shooting

Newark, NJ – The Newark Public Safety Department, led by Director Fritz Fragé, is appealing to the public for assistance in locating Kyara Jones, a 28-year-old individual wanted for questioning regarding a shooting incident that took place on Saturday, June 24.

The department is urging community members to come forward with any information that may help in locating her.

According to reports, at approximately 11:35 a.m. that day, the Newark Police Department received a distress call reporting gunshots fired at a residence situated in the 100 block of Leslie Street. In response, officers swiftly arrived at the scene and discovered three spent shell casings in the hallway of the property. In light of these findings, detectives have identified Kyara Jones as a person of interest and are seeking her cooperation in their ongoing investigation.

Described as approximately 4 feet and 11 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes, Jones’s whereabouts remain unknown at this time.
