Teen shot and killed in Lower East Side shooting

NEW YORK, NY – In the early hours on Sunday, police received a 911 call reporting a shooting incident in front of 210 Rivington Street in Lower Manhattan. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the 7th precinct. The call was made at approximately 12:51 AM.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered an 18-year-old male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the neck. Emergency Medical Service arrived at the location and transported the injured individual to New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.

The young man was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

At present, there have been no arrests made in connection with the shooting, and an ongoing investigation is underway.

The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of his family.
