18-year-old shot and killed on Lower East Side

NEW YORK, NY – An 18-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday morning on New York City’s Lower East Side.

The New York City Police Department has identified the deceased individual as Eliahs Brazoban, an 18-year-old male residing at 555 FDR Drive.

At approximately 12:51 a.m., law enforcement received a 911 call reporting a shooting incident in front of 210 Rivington Street, located within the jurisdiction of the 7th Precinct. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an 18-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the neck.

Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene and transported the victim to New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. He was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is currently ongoing.
